Wood is recruiting for an Owner’s Engineering Team Lead to join its Process \& Chemicals business. This opportunity is Onsite.

**The Role**
Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for an **Owner’s Engineering Team Lead** at our Houston, TX office to join our Clean Energy team. This person will join our diverse team of professionals and be tasked with leading and managing and growing our Owner’s Engineering service line. We are looking for someone to join our team and build on the success we have already had in this service sector. Ideally, the role will be seated in our Austin, TX office, but we will consider qualified applicants from any American city where Wood has a local office. The Owner’s Engineering Team Lead in our Clean Energy consultancy business will predominately be a delivery role supporting the management of existing projects and accounts. However, the candidate is expected to be able to bring existing client relationships to increase our pipeline of Owner’s Engineering scopes of work for onshore renewable energy projects. There will also be a focus on supporting and continuously improving the development of tools, systems and best practice within our OE team.

**Typical responsibilities:**
* Oversight and support for all Owner's Engineering and Construction Monitoring delivery
* Manage Key Client accounts and report on KPIs and other success metrics with the clients and senior Wood management.
* Work with engineering team to improve tools, systems and best practices. Track market competitors and develop novel approaches to the services to further improve efficiency and quality of work.
* Managing and mentoring a team of multi\-disciplined specialists to deliver owner’s engineering services including but not limited to design reviews, value engineering, contractor selection and negotiations, field inspections, progress monitoring, and construction monitoring and quality oversight.
* Ensuring health, safety and environmental considerations are integral to the delivery of projects and project tasks.
* Add value, avoid/resolve issues, mitigate risks and manage project’s finances, project contractors and contracts by applying robust project management practices and experience from previous projects.
* Regularly and accurately reporting the status of key projects to senior management.
* Participation at site visits and meetings in the USA and abroad.
* Disseminate knowledge and experiences to other team members,and supporting the development of the team and team members.
* Mentoring and developing engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
* Supporting business development and expanding the Owner’s Engineering service line by leveraging deep client relationships and industry networks.
* Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, risk management, and financial oversight for high\-value projects.
