**Job Summary**



The Engineer (I, II, or Senior) is responsible for providing engineering support, technical analysis, and project execution across midstream operations. This role supports the full project lifecycle including design, development, procurement, construction, and commissioning, while ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations.



Scope, complexity, and level of responsibility increase progressively from Engineer I through Senior Engineer, with Senior Engineers serving as technical leaders on complex projects and operational challenges.




**Duties and Responsibilities**


**Core Responsibilities (All Levels)**


* Support the full project lifecycle including design, development, material procurement, construction, and project completion
* Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and construction documentation
* Ensure compliance with engineering standards, company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
* Provide engineering and troubleshooting support for operating assets
* Analyze data and perform engineering calculations
* Communicate with internal teams and external contractors for project execution
* Manage project budgets, timelines, and issue resolution
* Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities including PHAs, LOPAs, PSSRs, and MOC processes
* Support facility planning, including pipeline simulations and system evaluations
* Adhere to safety, environmental, and operational standards

**Engineer II (Additional Responsibilities)**


* Independently manage small to medium\-sized projects
* Provide engineering support for terminal operations including rail, truck, and marine activities, as well as liquid bulk storage and transfer systems
* Evaluate project bids and support material and equipment selection
* Coordinate cross\-functional project activities with limited supervision

**Senior Engineer (Additional Responsibilities)**


* Lead large, complex, and cross\-functional projects from concept through completion
* Serve as a technical lead across engineering and operations teams
* Provide advanced troubleshooting support for complex, multi\-discipline issues
* Mentor and support development of junior engineers
* Support project development, cost estimating, and business planning efforts
* Develop and maintain process simulations for system optimization and planning
* Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and system configurations
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operations
* Support and lead advanced PSM activities and risk assessments






**Required Skills and Abilities**


* Strong understanding of engineering principles within the energy or midstream industry
* Ability to analyze complex systems and solve technical problems
* Effective communication skills with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders
* Project management capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards
* Proficiency with engineering software and analytical tools
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence

**Senior Engineer Additional Expectations:**


* Advanced expertise in system design, optimization, and troubleshooting
* Ability to provide technical leadership and influence cross\-functional teams
* Strong analytical and decision\-making capability
* In\-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards






**Education and Experience**


**Engineer I**


* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
* 0–3\+ years of relevant experience

**Engineer II**


* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
* 3\+ years of engineering or project experience
* Experience in natural gas, midstream, terminal, or bulk liquid systems preferred

**Senior Engineer**


* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
* 8\+ years of engineering, project management, or operations support experience
* Demonstrated experience leading complex projects
* Experience in natural gas or midstream operations preferred
