**TITLE**
SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Lead mechanical engineer. Responsible for new product development and sustaining of existing products.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Responsible to complete all mechanical tasks associated with the development of new products to meet requirements within cost and schedule.
Responsible for having new products meet drilling environment physical requirements.
Responsible for defining mechanical operating limits of new products.
Responsible for setting wear limits of new products.
Manages all testing required to complete the development of new products.
Supervises technicians, designers, and technical writers to complete mechanical tasks.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
**Experience**
15 years’ experience in similar function.
Experience with developing and mechanical designs of MWD and LWD downhole tools.
Experience with mechanical designs of sensor packages for LWD tools.
Experience with downhole pulsers and turbines.
Experience working with vendors that supply precision machined parts.
Knowledge of manufacturing practices and processes.
Experience with computer\-aided design tools and MS Office.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis methods and software.
Understanding of drilling rig operating practices and standards.
Pay: $150,000\.00 \- $175,000\.00 per year
