**About NOV Fiber Glass Systems**
NOV Fiber Glass Systems (FGS) designs and manufactures high\-performance fiberglass piping systems used in industries such as oil \& gas, water treatment, chemicals, and infrastructure. Our Burkburnett facility plays a key role in delivering durable, corrosion\-resistant solutions while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
**Position Summary**
The Engineering Intern will support engineering and operations activities at the Burkburnett facility by assisting with process improvements, data analysis, and production support initiatives. This role provides hands\-on experience in a manufacturing environment and the opportunity to work alongside engineers and cross\-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Assist with process improvement projects to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste
* Collect, analyze, and report on production and quality data
* Support troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for manufacturing issues
* Assist in developing and updating work instructions and standard operating procedures
* Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams on daily operations and projects
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings
* Follow all safety policies and procedures
**Required Qualifications**
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related)
* Completed at least sophomore\-level coursework preferred
* Basic understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
* Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Prior internship, co\-op, or project experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Experience with Microsoft Excel, data analysis, or CAD software
* Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts
**Work Environment \& Conditions**
* Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment
* Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while in production areas
* May involve standing, walking, and observing operations for extended periods
* Schedule may vary based on project and production needs
