Job Description
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently managing wells and production equipment across your assigned route. This includes monitoring production metrics, troubleshooting underperforming wells, and ensuring all inspections, coding, and operational standards are met.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Monitor daily production and identify variances using systems such as SCADA, Production Viewer, PI, and Cygnet
* Develop and execute action plans to restore wells to target production levels
* Perform routine site inspections and ensure compliance with required KPIs
* Conduct plunger inspections and maintain inspection schedules
* Ensure accurate well coding, downtime tracking, and production data integrity
* Coordinate with lead technicians, foremen, optimizers, and engineers to resolve production issues
* Create and manage work orders for maintenance and automation support
* Perform field troubleshooting on production equipment and artificial lift systems
* Maintain housekeeping standards across well sites and facilities
* Complete Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and follow all safety and LOTO procedures
* Communicate daily activities and operational updates through Teams and reporting tools
**Daily Work Includes:**
* Responding to alarms and dispatch priorities
* Performing site entry procedures and safety checks
* Updating work management systems and closing out tickets
* Supporting additional field activities as needed once route responsibilities are complete
* Experience in oil \& gas production operations preferred
* Working knowledge of artificial lift systems (plunger lift, gas lift, compression, etc.)
* Ability to troubleshoot wells and production equipment
* Familiarity with SCADA systems and production monitoring tools
* Strong understanding of field safety practices and procedures
* Ability to work independently and manage a daily route
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between field locations
