Job Description

Our client, a globally recognized energy company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their operations team in **San Antonio, Texas, US**. This role is critical for the evaluation, development, and optimization of offshore oil and gas reserves. You will be responsible for applying advanced reservoir engineering principles to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and ensure efficient production strategies. This is an on-site position requiring active participation in project teams and operational discussions.

Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed reservoir characterization studies, including analysis of geological data, core samples, and well logs. Develop and calibrate reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance and evaluate development scenarios. Perform reserve assessments and economic evaluations for oil and gas assets, adhering to industry standards (e.g., SEC, PRMS). Design and implement reservoir management strategies, including waterflooding, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques, and well placement optimization. Monitor reservoir performance, analyze production data, and recommend adjustments to optimize recovery. Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling engineers to develop integrated field development plans. Evaluate potential new ventures and assist in acquisitions and divestitures. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and economic analyses for management and stakeholders. Mentor junior reservoir engineers and provide technical guidance. Stay current with advancements in reservoir engineering technologies, simulation software, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, with significant exposure to offshore environments. Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE). Strong understanding of fluid properties, reservoir thermodynamics, and multiphase flow. Experience with reserve estimation methodologies and economic evaluation techniques. Familiarity with well test analysis and production logging data interpretation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project-driven environment. Experience with EOR methods and unconventional reservoir analysis is a plus.
