**Overview**
Join our dynamic team as a Solids Control Technician and play a vital role in maintaining efficient solids management on oil and gas drilling sites. In this energetic position, you will operate and maintain solids control equipment, ensuring optimal separation of drilling fluids and cuttings. Your expertise will help keep drilling operations running smoothly while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment on challenging construction sites, contributing directly to the success of energy exploration projects.

Work will be in the Northeast of the US with great rotations! Candidates must reside within the Northeast area in order to be considered.

**Responsibilities**

* Operate and troubleshoot solids control equipment such as shale shakers, centrifuges, degassers, and mud cleaners to separate solids from drilling fluids effectively.
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks to ensure safe operation.
* Assist with the setup and breakdown of pipeline connections and support horizontal drilling operations by managing fluid flow and solids removal processes.
* Follow all OSHA safety protocols, including proper rigging, lifting techniques, and personal protective equipment usage to maintain a safe work environment.
* Support construction activities by coordinating with team members on site logistics, including the movement of heavy equipment like bulldozers and loaders.
* Maintain detailed records of equipment operation, maintenance logs, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to optimize solids control processes and troubleshoot operational issues promptly.

**Experience**

* Prior experience working on oil rigs or construction sites involving heavy equipment operation is highly preferred.
* Knowledge of pipeline systems, horizontal drilling techniques, and oil \& gas industry practices is a strong plus.
* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks confidently.
* Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to construction site safety, rigging procedures, and heavy equipment handling.
* Hands\-on experience in tankering operations or commercial driving is advantageous.
* Demonstrated ability to work in physically demanding environments while maintaining attention to safety protocols.

Pay: $18\.00 \- $22\.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40\.0 – 91\.0 per week
