**About the Role:**

As a CBRE Database Engineer, you will work with developers, D\&T staff, and end\-users to provide technical support, maintenance, and logistical support to production and test systems.

This job is part of the Database Engineering job function. They are responsible for the upkeep of databases across several company platforms and computing environments.



**What You’ll Do:**

Install, upgrade, refresh, and maintain all database environments.

Set up and configure databases, interfaces, and production environments.

Work with application developers to support new programs and systems.

Support production application systems, the information warehouse, and business intelligence systems.

Assist with installation and configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, partitioning strategies, and automation techniques.

Help developers with design, indexes, and storage structures to optimize application design and performance.

Develop database monitoring and operational processes to continually improve the environment.

Move software code from test to production environment.

Apply in\-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.

Coach others and share in\-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.

Work within broad guidelines and policies.

Explain difficult or sensitive information.

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5\-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

In\-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
