The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for leading customer relationships across the Gas Power portfolio in North America.
Responsible for orders, commitments, and convertible orders for a defined region, will manage the customer relationship for accounts within respective region and lead deal negotiations / closure with customers while partnering with commercial operations to develop winning strategies and achieve order closure. High level of commercial judgment is required to achieve the required outcomes.**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
* Excellent understanding of the energy market (dynamics \& trends), including the regulatory framework.
* Develop long term strategic plans by market and customer to drive penetration and growth.
* Build and maintain relationships with energy regulators, system operators and government agencies responsible for the power sector.
* Develop relationships with investors, financial institutions, fuel providers (such as **Natural Gas and LNG** suppliers).
* Continuously monitor and drive opportunity development by early engagement of project developers.
* Responsible for coordinated ‘one face to the customer’ across **Heavy Duty Gas Turbine and Aero product portfolios**.
* Provide leadership through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies with the respective internal teams.
* Drive orders, sales, cash and contribution margin growth.
* Support positioning of the **Long\-Term Service Agreements**.
* Provide support to the project implementation team.
* Share knowledge internally and use market knowledge to drive sales opportunities with customers.
* Maintain on\-going customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Provide demand forecasting and pacing support to Sales Operations.
* Responsible for keeping sales forecast up\-to\-date with the region’s opportunities.
**Required Qualifications**
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business\-related discipline from an accredited college or university
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry / knowledge of Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine technology products and services
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Project Management, Commercial Operations, Technical Sales, or Customer Service in the Power Generation industry
**Other Eligibility/Location**
* Strong preference for candidate to be located in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, or Austin, TX near a major airport.
**Desired Characteristics**
* Strong technical background and familiarity with Heavy Duty \& Aeroderivative Gas Turbines
* Knowledge of gas turbine auxiliary systems
* Broad and deep understanding of the commercial cycle, including product line / marketing / sales / commercial operations / engineering.
* Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal / external customers
* Demonstrated value selling skills with a long\-term business mindset
* Strong interpersonal communication skills at the leadership level
* Ability to work with functions teams and independently and be a self\-starter to manage and influence in a matrix environment
* Business acumen / analytic ability with a “holistic solution” Mindset
* Strong account management skills, including developing relationships at the C\-suite level
* Financial, analytical skills, and strategic planning capabilities
