We are looking for a **Reservoir Engineer** to join our Uinta Asset team. This role will encompass working on a multi\-disciplinary team focused on development and asset optimization. The job presents an exciting opportunity to work in a Basin that is relatively new to horizontal development and a challenge to delineate thousands of feet of stacked pay. The team is lean, fast paced, and given the autonomy to drive decisions. This role will require you to be a self\-starter, curious, collaborative, and provide exceptional technical work through a commercial lens. Additionally, you will support the budget and planning process, Land ground game, and production operations.
Required Education, Experience, \& Skills
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (preferably Petroleum Engineering)
* 8\+ years of experience, minimum of 4 years of Reservoir Engineering experience
* Experience working unconventional reservoirs in the Lower 48 or Canada
* Proficient in using Aries or ComboCurve
* Proficient in using Whitson\+ or Harmony
* Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle
Preferred Experiences
* Experience as a contributing team member for an active horizontal drilling program
* Can independently provide technical and commercial inputs for development planning and operations
* Experience in another engineering discipline (i.e. production, completions, etc.)
* Assisted in annual reserves and/or A\&D processes
* Experience working or evaluating assets in the Rockies
Core Competencies and Skills
* Familiarity with SPEE best practices in type well construction
* Proficient in using commercial software to perform RTA or PTA (CPG Analysis)
* Use of economic software to provide analysis for AFE’s, development planning, operations (i.e. workovers), acreage evaluations, and when necessary larger acquisitions and divestitures
* Perform field surveillance at a large scale; preferably using Spotfire or similar software
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate across disciplines and up the management chain
* Strong presentation skills, can distill complex sub\-surface work into digestible findings and recommendations.
* Commercially minded, working towards solutions and optimizations that add value
Duties \& Responsibilities
* Accountable for PDP forecasts and type curves for your respective area/set of wells
* Deliver AFE’s and capital project recommendations for your area
* Provide technical support for field development, including appraisal plans, spacing and completion trials, and competitor benchmarking
* Contribute to a multi\-disciplinary team as an expert in sub\-surface matters and a stakeholder in surface operations
* Assist in technical support for annual reserves and A\&D work
* Support annual budget and planning processes; including commercial and LOE analyses, production forecasts, and field development strategy
* Responsible for drawdown plan of all wedge wells
* Work with state and regulatory bodies on field rules and development planning
* Regularly participate in sub\-surface and operations team meetings
* Attend the field on a semi\-annual basis to conduct well reviews with the Operations teams
