**About this role**
We have an exciting role for a **Unit Leader** in **Seadrift (TX).**
In this role, you will be a key interface point to Site Integration and the Seadrift site production facilities. This role provides unique opportunities to interface with multiple stakeholders across the entire site to ensure critical utilities needs are met and that maintenance and turnaround activities are well coordinated to minimize production plant impact.
In addition, you will serve as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low cost, quality products. This role supports the business in meeting goals, providing influential leadership, and mentoring for operations personnel. The Unit Leader will fulfill Run Plant Engineer responsibilities for an area of the Energy and Environment Operations facilities.**Responsibilities*** Lead coordination of Turnaround plans and provide operational expertise in planning of outages and equipment inspections. Ensure coordination of outage with plant partners to avoid impact and production losses.
* Lead Unplanned Event team to drive the right actions from root cause investigations. Track events and coach operations personnel in CAPA work process.
* Collaborate with commercial, site integration, and production facility focal points to meet utility demands, plan contingencies for plant and pipeline turnarounds, and mitigate impact of unplanned outages.
* Work closely with maintenance and operations teams in prioritization of equipment repairs and equipment troubleshooting in order to maintain reliable plant capabilities.
* Lead Operations Team to achieve zero EH\&S and reliability goals. Help the team to become a Highly Reliable Organization/Reliability Centered Culture.
* Attain a full understanding of Dow's Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures with the ability to translate them to full implementation in the organization.
* Manage the plant budget – tracking, reporting and forecasting.
* Provide support and coaching on the implementation of Operate Plant Work Processes \& Tools.
* Process safety focal point for Energy Systems.

**Required Qualifications*** A minimum of HSD or GED equivalent
* A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (i.e. engineering, manufacturing or related)
* A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

**Preferred Qualifications*** A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering
* Experience with power generation and utility systems
* Prior experience as a production engineer / run plant engineer
* Working knowledge of process safety tools and LOPA

**Skills*** **Communication:** Able to communicate clearly to key stakeholders and functions during unplanned event response or planned outages.
