**Location:** Houston, TX (Onsite)
**Experience Required:** 10–15 Years

**Preferred Background:**
Telecom professionals with significant experience in the oil \& gas sector, particularly in upstream EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Candidates from organizations such as Fluor, Bechtel, or Worley will be highly regarded.

**Role Overview**

In this position, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing telecom engineering designs and project documentation to ensure alignment with project specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients to deliver high\-quality engineering solutions within defined timelines and budgets.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Create detailed engineering deliverables such as material take\-offs (MTOs), technical datasheets, specifications, layout drawings, and cable routing plans in accordance with project requirements.
* Evaluate contractor submissions to confirm compliance with contractual, technical, cost, and schedule expectations.
* Work collaboratively with cross\-functional engineering teams and stakeholders to define and finalize technical design requirements.
* Interpret client specifications and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
* Assess customer needs, respond to technical inquiries, and review deliverables across conceptual design, FEED, and detailed engineering stages.
* Oversee the design and documentation of telecom systems including:
* Data communication networks (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
* Telephony and PABX systems
* Radio communication systems (TETRA, UHF, VHF)
* Microwave and VSAT systems
* Telecom supervisory and entertainment systems
* Fiber\-to\-the\-home (FTTH) and outside plant (OSP) cabling
* Structured cabling and meteorological systems
* Review and contribute to the design of security systems such as CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, radar, and long\-range surveillance systems.
* Analyze and validate engineering documents including system specifications, design calculations (power load, thermal analysis, link budgets, etc.), and bills of materials.
* Conduct telecom system studies such as coverage analysis for PAGA, radio, and CCTV, along with VSAT link calculations.
* Support detailed engineering and FEED activities for systems including fiber optics, structured cabling, telephony, PIDS, PAGA, ACS, and CCTV.
* Provide technical input and coordination support to other disciplines such as electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineering.
* Participate in procurement processes by performing technical bid evaluations for vendors and contractors.
* Communicate technical concepts clearly through reports, presentations, and discussions with internal teams and clients.

**Qualifications \& Experience**

* Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering or a related field (BE/B.Tech).
* 12–15 years of relevant industry experience in telecom engineering, preferably within oil \& gas EPC projects.

Pay: $90,160\.88 \- $100,000\.00 per year
