**Chief Geologist**
**Company**: Subatomic Industries Corp.
**Location**: Corpus Christi / Field\-Based with Travel
**Reports To**: President and Chief Operating Officer (with close coordination with CFO/VP Finance)
**Position Summary**
The Chief Geologist will serve as the senior technical authority responsible for the identification, evaluation, acquisition, and development of uranium assets, with a specific focus on In\-Situ Recovery (ISR) mining methods.
This role is foundational to the company’s growth strategy, driving both organic exploration efforts and technical diligence for acquisitions, while establishing the geological framework required to advance projects from early\-stage evaluation through ISR production readiness.
The Chief Geologist will play a critical role in shaping asset valuation, reducing geological risk, and supporting capital formation through defensible technical analysis and reporting.
**Key Responsibilities**
*Exploration Strategy \& Target Generation*
* Develop and execute a basin\-scale uranium exploration strategy focused on ISR\-compatible deposits
* Identify and prioritize target areas using geological, geophysical, and hydrological data
* Design and oversee drilling programs, sampling protocols, and field exploration campaigns
* Build and maintain geological models to support resource identification
* Support the Company in project evaluations for potential mergers and acquisitions.
* Act as a Qualified Person in drafting technical reports on the behalf of the Company.
*ISR\-Focused Geological Evaluation*
Evaluate deposits for ISR suitability, including:
* Permeability and porosity of host formations
* Confining layer integrity
* Groundwater chemistry and flow characteristics
* Uranium mineralization distribution and recoverability
* Work closely with hydrogeologists and engineers to assess leachability and recovery efficiency
* Support pilot testing design and interpretation
M\&A and Technical Due Diligence
* Lead geological and technical evaluation of acquisition targets
* Review historical data, drill logs, resource estimates, and prior technical reports
* Identify risks, data gaps, and upside potential
* Support valuation models through resource validation and scenario analysis
* Provide technical input into investment memos and board materials
Resource Modeling \& Technical Reporting
* Oversee development of geological and resource models
* Prepare and/or supervise technical reports compliant with:
o NI 43\-101
o Rule SK\-1300
o Act as Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP), as applicable
o Support disclosure requirements for capital raises and public reporting
*Development \& Production Readiness (ISR)*
* Transition assets from exploration to ISR development planning
* Support wellfield design, including:
o Injection and recovery well placement
o Pattern optimization
* Collaborate with engineering teams on:
o Surface facilities design
o Recovery processes
o Assist in permitting strategy by providing geological and hydrological inputs
*Regulatory, Environmental \& Stakeholder Support*
* Support permitting efforts at the state and federal levels
* Ensure geological data supports environmental baseline studies
* Contribute to groundwater protection strategies and restoration plans
*Leadership \& Team Development*
* Build and lead a high\-performing geological team as the company scales
* Manage consultants, drilling contractors, and technical vendors
* Establish data management systems, QA/QC protocols, and reporting standards
*Strategic \& Capital Markets Support*
* Provide technical support for:
o Investor presentations
o Data rooms
o Due diligence processes
o Translate complex geological concepts into clear, investor\-ready narratives
* Support CFO/VP Finance in:
o Asset valuation
o Impairment analysis
o Reserve/resource\-based assumptions
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or related field (Master’s preferred)
* 12\+ years of experience in uranium exploration and/or development
* Demonstrated experience with ISR uranium projects strongly preferred
* Prior experience in resource estimation and technical reporting standards
* Eligibility or the qualifications to serve as a Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP)
* Strong understanding of hydrogeology and its application to ISR mining
* Experience supporting M\&A or technical due diligence is highly desirable
