Transmission and Utilities Engineer
Job Description
Freese and Nichols is seeking **Transmission and Utilities Engineer** to join our team in **Dallas, Texas** . As Engineer, you will support projects through the study, design, and construction phases of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, large\-diameter pipelines, and utility work. You will apply standard engineering practices, contribute to project delivery, and build your technical judgment through increasingly independent work while partnering with project teams to deliver quality work that supports client needs and project goals.
What You’ll Do
* Perform assigned portions of broader engineering assignments on water and wastewater transmission and utilities projects
* Apply standard engineering practices and techniques in specific project situations
* Collect, adjust, and correlate data and identify discrepancies in results
* Develop familiarity with accepted engineering criteria, methods, and procedures
* Complete assigned project tasks within the scope, schedule, and guidelines defined by the Project Engineer
* Coordinate your work with technicians and drafting personnel contributing to the same project
* Support studies, designs, and project documentation with general guidance and final review
* Help provide quality work that aligns with project budgets, schedules, and client needs
**Qualifications**

* BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering field
* Engineer\-in\-Training certification
* 3\+ years of related engineering experience with a BS degree, or 2\+ years with an MS degree
* Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
* Ability to undertake independent action and contribute to project coordination
Preferred
* Texas Professional Engineer registration within 2 years from start
* Experience supporting water or wastewater transmission and utilities projects
* Experience coordinating work with technicians or drafting personnel
* Experience with engineering studies, design calculations, and project documentation
