The Account Manager is responsible for executing the commercial strategy for the HMH family of product lines. This role owns revenue growth within assigned accounts, drives new business development, and serves as the primary commercial liaison between operators, contractors, and internal operations teams. This position plays a critical role in market share growth and ensuring that HMH business units meet or exceed revenue, margin, and operational targets.
The ideal candidate understands drilling rig operations, pressure control equipment, and field execution realities – and can translate technical capability into commercial value.
Job Responsibilities
Sales Strategy* Develop, communicate, and implement a comprehensive revenue growth strategy in partnership with business unit sales leaders.
* Strengthen competitive positioning for HMH products, services, and capabilities.
* Partner with local leadership to evaluate and communicate growth opportunities.
* Build business cases for strategic initiatives within each product line for the region.
* Conduct regular in\-person visits to rigs, yards, and field locations.
* Understands customer needs, translates them into actionable solutions, and coordinates service/delivery accordingly.
* Align product offerings with customer well plans and operational needs.


Business Development* Generate new commercial opportunities in both existing and new markets.
* Identify market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to drive NPI reverse‑engineering opportunities from major OEMs.
* Build and maintain field relationships across internal and external organizations.
* Identify cross\-selling opportunities across product lines.
* Build long\-term pipeline opportunities.
* Identifies upselling and cross\-selling HMH opportunities based on customer requirements and field observations.
* Increase HMH brand visibility through active participation in regional industry associations (e.g., IADC, AADE, and relevant trade groups).


Qualifications* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience)
* 2 years’ experience in a sales role
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Good interpersonal and leadership skills
* Strong problem solving skills
* Ability to work independently
* Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Ability to travel regionally (50\-70%)


Desired Characteristics* Knowledge of Oil and Gas industry, specifically Upstream Operations
* Existing relationship within Permian Basin operator/contractor network
* Excellent Negotiation \& Sales skills
* Thorough understanding of market developments
* Highly motivated and able to work within a team to achieve organizational goals
* Ability to identify and implement best practices and continual performance improvements
* Ability to establish and maintain working relationships both internal and external
* Understanding of API standards and oilfield compliance requirements
* Results Oriented
