**Position Overview**
The **Senior Electrical Engineer** will lead the design and optimization of electrical systems supporting critical infrastructure such as **pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities**. The role involves applying advanced technologies including **automation, real\-time monitoring, and energy storage** to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
This position also plays a key role in ensuring safety through the implementation of **arc flash mitigation, fault detection systems, and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards**. The engineer will manage projects from **concept to completion**, ensuring alignment with operational goals, safety requirements, and project timelines.
**Location Note:**
This position will be based in **Pittsburgh, PA** for approximately the first **two (2\) years**. Following this period and depending on project status, the role is expected to **relocate to either Tulsa, OK or Houston, TX** based on business needs. Candidates must be **willing and able to relocate** as part of the role.

**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead the **design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks** supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
* Integrate **advanced technologies** including automation, real\-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs.
* Implement **safety measures** such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to ensure personnel safety and infrastructure reliability.
* Provide technical expertise in **power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts** for new construction and facility upgrades.
* Manage **complex engineering projects** from concept through completion while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
* Ensure compliance with **safety, environmental, and regulatory standards** across all electrical systems and project execution.
* Collaborate with **cross\-functional teams** to deliver effective engineering solutions.
* Mentor and support **junior engineers**, encouraging technical development and knowledge sharing.
**Technical Skills \& Knowledge**
* Strong understanding of **power system design, analysis, and simulation tools** such as ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink, or similar.
* Knowledge of **high\-voltage equipment**, including transformers, generators, and switchgear.
* Understanding of **grid integration and renewable energy systems**.
* Experience managing **procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials**, including vendor coordination.
* Preferred experience overseeing **Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment**.
**Education \& Experience**
**Required:**
* Bachelor’s Degree in **Electrical Engineering** from an **ABET\-accredited** college or university
**OR**
* Bachelor’s Degree in **Engineering Technology** from an ABET\-accredited college or university in a relevant field **with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) License**
* **Minimum 8 years of engineering experience** in **natural gas, data centers, or a related industry**
**Preferred****:**
* **Professional Engineer (PE) License**
* **Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering**
**Additional Requirements**
* Strong **organizational and interpersonal skills** with safety as a top priority
* Proficiency in **Microsoft Office applications**
* Experience reviewing **arc flash studies** and implementing improvements
* Working knowledge of **electrical design codes** such as NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE
**Preferred****:**
* Experience with **PLCs**
* **Project management experience**
* Experience in **Pre\-FEED, FEED, or EPC phases** of small to medium facility projects
* Experience designing and implementing **Instrumentation Systems**, including **PLC and HMI systems**
**Work Schedule \& Travel**
* Must be willing to **travel up to 50%**.
