**Job Title**: Pipeline Engineer I
**Department:** Engineering
**Reports To:** Lead Pipeline Engineer
**Location:** Houston, Texas
**Summary:**
A Pipeline Engineer I is an integral part of project teams, gaining foundational experience in pipeline engineering aspects of midstream/facilities oil \& gas infrastructure. This role assists in pipeline design, calculations, and documentation, working under the guidance of more experienced engineers. An excellent entry\-level opportunity for a passionate pipeline engineer eager to learn and contribute to significant projects.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Assistance in the preparation of pipeline route maps, alignment sheets, and preliminary drawings.
* Support for basic hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and material take\-offs under supervision.
* Aid in data collection and review of pipeline design basis documents.
* Preparation and organization of pipeline project documentation, including reports and technical memos.
* Learning and applying relevant industry codes, standards, and company procedures (e.g., ASME B31\.4, B31\.8\).
* Collaboration with other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, mechanical, process) to ensure design integration for pipeline crossings and tie\-ins.
* Participation in technical discussions and basic design reviews.
* Some travel may be required.
**Required Skills and Abilities:**
* Basic understanding of pipeline fundamentals, including hydraulics, material properties, and construction methods.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Strong analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Team player – able to communicate and relate well with others.
**Physical Requirements:**
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds.
* Ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings.
