**Pre\-Commissioning Field Engineer (Oil \& Gas / Industrial Construction)**

**Location:** La Marque, TX
**Travel:** Up to 80% U.S. Travel – Project Site Assignments

Join an experienced team specializing in pre\-commissioning and maintenance cleaning services for major industrial projects, including LNG facilities, power plants, refineries, and petrochemical plants.

Our team performs critical services such as chemical cleaning**,** system flushing, oil flushing, hydrotesting, and pipeline cleaning to prepare systems for safe startup.

We are seeking a Pre\-Commissioning Field Engineer with 3–5 years of industrial field experience to support project teams and execute field pre\-commissioning activities.

**Position Summary**

The Pre\-Commissioning Field Engineer provides field engineering support for the execution of pre\-commissioning activities on industrial construction projects. This role works closely with supervisors, construction teams, and client representatives to ensure systems are properly prepared for commissioning and startup.

The ideal candidate has hands\-on experience in industrial piping systems, mechanical completion, commissioning support, or pre\-commissioning operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Support execution of pre\-commissioning activities, including:
* Chemical cleaning
* Oil flushing
* System flushing
* Hydrotesting
* Nitrogen drying
* Pipeline cleaning
* Perform system walkdowns and mechanical verification prior to pre\-commissioning.
* Review and interpret P\&IDs, isometrics, line lists, and engineering drawings.
* Assist with preparation of method statements, procedures, and work plans.
* Provide field engineering support during project execution.
* Identify and document punch list items and mechanical deficiencies.
* Coordinate with construction contractors, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
* Monitor field work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
* Assist with project documentation, reports, and completion packages.
* Support mobilization and setup of temporary pre\-commissioning systems and equipment.
* Promote and enforce our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.

**Qualifications**

**Education**

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Equivalent field experience will be considered.

**Experience**

3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:

* Pre\-commissioning
* Commissioning
* Mechanical completion
* Industrial construction
* Field engineering

Experience working in:

* Oil \& Gas
* Petrochemical
* LNG
* Power generation
* Industrial processing facilities

Strong knowledge of:

* Piping systems
* Process systems
* Mechanical equipment

**Technical Skills**

* Ability to interpret P\&IDs, isometrics, and engineering drawings
* Experience with:
* Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Bluebeam (required)
* Navisworks (preferred)
* Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drawing software (preferred)

**Work Environment**

This position requires working at active industrial construction sites, including:

* Refineries
* Petrochemical plants
* LNG facilities
* Power plants

Employees must follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements

**Physical Requirements**

* Walk large industrial project sites
* Climb ladders and access elevated equipment
* Work outdoors in industrial environments
* Lift materials and equipment up to 30 lbs

**Additional Requirements**

* Must be able to pass pre\-employment drug screening
* Must be eligible to obtain or maintain a TWIC card
* Must pass background checks required by client sites
* Valid driver’s license required

* Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and field personnel to support project execution
* Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives during pre\-commissioning activities
* Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and project stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
* Support a team\-oriented work environment that promotes safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Pay: From $75,000\.00 per year
