Job Description
**Job Title:** CNC Machinist Intern
**Location:** Conroe, Texas
**Job Type:** Internship \| Onsite

**About the Role**

We are seeking a motivated CNC Machinist Intern to support our machining team and gain hands on experience in a fast paced and quality driven manufacturing environment. The intern will work under direct supervision to assist with CNC machine operation, basic setups, part measurement, and general shop tasks. This internship is designed for individuals who are eager to learn machining principles and develop practical skills with horizontal and vertical milling equipment.
**Key Responsibilities**

* Assist with setting up CNC machines according to AWC prints and specifications
* Learn to operate CNC machines safely and accurately under supervision
* Support machinists by loading material, preparing tooling, and monitoring machine operations
* Observe and learn basic program edits at the machine
* Perform simple part measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
* Monitor machines for malfunctions or deviations and report issues to experienced machinists
* Help maintain setup sheets and basic production records
* Follow production schedules and support workflow efficiency
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment
* Follow all quality and safety policies
* Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
------------------
* Enrollment in a machining, manufacturing, engineering, or technical program is preferred
* Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and shop tools
* Familiarity with horizontal or vertical mills is helpful but not required
* Willingness to learn CNC machining, measurement tools, and programming concepts
* Ability to read simple technical drawings is preferred
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
* Personal tools are not required for the internship
