**Job Summary:**
The Mechanical or Structural Engineer will manage and provide oversight for the engineering department supporting tank fabrication projects. This role actively creates buildable plans and manages the internal CAD designers, to provide highly accurate and detail\-oriented fabrication plans. The position collaborates closely with the project managers, and production teams to ensure designs are accurate, practical, and aligned with fabrication requirements. In addition to supporting project engineering, this position will help guide the engineering and design team by maintaining quality control, reviewing technical work, and ensuring engineering standards and protocols are consistently followed.
**Duties/Responsibilities:**
· Provide engineering management and oversight for tank fabrication and related projects
· Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
· Work closely with CAD designers to ensure drawings meet engineering requirements and fabrication standards
· Maintain quality control and accuracy across engineering and design work
· Help establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and protocols
· Support project managers and production teams in resolving technical questions during fabrication
· Analyze technical specifications, blueprints, and related data to support engineering decisions
· Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements where appropriate
· Assist with mentoring and guiding CAD and design personnel
· Ensure engineering work complies with applicable codes and safety standards
**Qualifications:**
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
· Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
· 2\-3 years of a leadership or management experience
· 2\-5 years of engineering or design experience preferred
· Experience with steel structures, storage tanks, pressure vessels, or heavy fabrication is highly desirable
· Working knowledge of welding processes and metal fabrication practices
· Experience reviewing engineering drawings and technical calculations
· Familiarity with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD
· Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
· Ability to lead technical reviews and guide engineering and design work
· Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment
**Physical Requirements:**
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Pay: $90,000\.00 \- $120,000\.00 per year
