TITLE: **Component Engineer with Active Secret Clearance (US Citizenship REQUIRED)**
MAX RATE: **$61\.83/hr W2 (no health benefits, no PTO while on contract\-an hour worked is an hour paid)**
LOCATION: **Grand Prairie, TX**
DURATION: **12\+ months**
WORK SCHEDULE: **Four 10 hr days Mon\-Thurs, employee will telework \< 50%, expected to be in office Tuesday – Thursday** **\*\*\****No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099\-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED***\*\*\***
Geologics is seeking a Component Engineer to ensure the quality of the components on complex weapon's systems that help ensure our nation's defense. In this critical role, you would lend your expertise in support of the programs with emphasis on electrical component specifications, military standards and performance specification for Electrical, Electronic and Electro\-Mechanical (EEE) components.
The position is responsible for ensuring the quality of products transitioning from development to production through evaluation of design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.
Candidate needs to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of manufacturing quality requirements and be able to evaluate the application of those requirements toward transitioning product develop plans and solutions to obstacles that may impact successful transition at the component, sub\-assembly and final assembly levels. **REQUIRED SKILLS**
Secret Clearance Required to Start\-Please only submit candidates with an active secret clearance.
BS degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience / combined education in this field
Experience in electrical component failure analysis
Demonstrated problem solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Planning
Experience in microelectronics fabrication and test or equivalent experience
Able to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods to turn materials into products
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE processes, and related performance metrics
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product / performance specifications and other systems integration technical data
Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications including Access
Effective communication skills \- written, oral, listening, presentation and technical writing
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a fast\- paced environment **SKILLS DESIRED**
Familiar with Military Standards 202, 883 and 750
Familiar with MIL\-PRF 38534, 38535, 19500 and 55342
Familiar with Components such as ICs, Discrete Semiconductors, Resistor, Capacitor, Inductor, PWB, PWB Assembly Processing
Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
SAP Application Experience: QNOTES, etc.
Advanced AS9100 Interpretation/application skills
Experience with Product Development Process (PDP) Material Review Board (MRB) experience Machine shop or electronics manufacturing inspection experience
