With big ambitions, we specialize in the development, construction and operation of RNG, landfill\-gas\-to\-electric and dairy digester facilities. The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline.
About the role
The Design Engineer is responsible for 3D design and creation of technical drawings for landfill gas to energy facilities (LFGTE) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) skid equipment, compression packages as\-built drawings, \& modification drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Key accountabilities
Design responsibility of LFGTE and RNG BTU skid equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Create or revise accurate, detailed SolidWorks CAD models, drawings, P\&ID drawings, BOM’s, and other engineering documentation as required.
Performs design calculations for pipe sizes. Assist in procurement of mechanical equipment and instrumentation to support operations.
Maintains knowledge of the ASME Process Piping Design, Materials, Fabrication and Specifications leading to fabrication and assembly documents.
Maintains current knowledge of the latest codes, standards and best practices to encourage Mechanical safety for personnel and equipment protection.
Approaches designs with safety and long\-term serviceability as top priorities.
Responsible for proper interpretation of design specifications and drawings and preparation of project specification.
Prepare BOM, Instrumentation list \& design specs.
Collaborate with design team to meet equipment specifications and deadlines.
Provide engineering support to operations (LFGTE and RNG) in design and maintenance areas.
Managing the drawings/documentation control in PDM.
Essential education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associates Degree in Mechanical Design
Essential experience
3\+ years of experience
Experience with Autodesk (or AutoCAD)
Experience with SolidWorks
Experience with MS Office Suite
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance, ANSI Y14\.5\.
Thoroughness / attention to detail
Requires the ability to be self\-motivated and work independently as well as in multi\-skilled team environment
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must pass background check and drug test.
Desirable criteria
Experience with Bluebeam
Experience with SolidWorks Routing
Experience designing natural gas processing and treating equipment
Experience creating technical manuals associated with equipment
Experience working with Process Industry Practices (PIP)
Experience with ASME, API, AISC, OSHA \& ASTM standards

How much do we pay? $94,500 \- $135,000\. \*Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full times employees (60 \- 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
